Shaher Moh’d Ali Awartani co-founded High Point Real Estate LLC in Dubai in 2017, taking his business activity beyond the construction sector for the first time. The venture was established alongside H.E. Yousif Al Otaiba, H.E. Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, and Mr. Ahmed Ismail Bashee — a group of partners connected to the highest levels of UAE institutional investment. The move represented a clear step in Awartani’s development from infrastructure contractor to multi-sector investor.
High Point holds two premium residential assets in Dubai. Their combined value stands at over USD 100 million. The portfolio focuses on the luxury end of the Dubai property market, a segment that has maintained strong values on the back of sustained demand from international and high-net-worth buyers.
Who the Partners Are
The composition of the founding partnership carries significant institutional weight. Yousif Al Otaiba is the UAE’s Ambassador to the United States. Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi holds the role of Deputy Group CEO at Mubadala Investment Company in Abu Dhabi. Together, these affiliations connect High Point directly to UAE sovereign investment infrastructure at a senior level.
For Awartani, the venture followed on from his existing position within Abu Dhabi’s development ecosystem through SCCB. Investing in premium residential property was a natural extension of his construction background — deploying capital into the asset class he had spent nearly three decades delivering. The partnership also added depth to his institutional relationships across the UAE.
